Social Media Policy

Draft policy: for review and approval by Anik Shipping Lines management and its legal adviser before publication.

Purpose

To make sure what we and our staff post online is accurate, respectful and protects confidential information.

Scope

Company social media accounts, and staff posts that mention the company, our clients or vessels.

Our commitments

• Only authorised people post on behalf of the company.
• Never post confidential information about principals, cargo, vessels or crew.
• Get permission before posting photos taken on board vessels or in restricted port areas.
• Be respectful and professional, and avoid political or offensive content in a company context.
• Correct mistakes promptly and openly.

Responsibilities

• Management approves who may post for the company.
• Staff make clear that personal posts are their own views.

Review

This policy is reviewed at least once a year by management, and whenever operations, regulations or risks change.
