Information & Cyber Security Policy

Draft policy: for review and approval by Anik Shipping Lines management and its legal adviser before publication.

Purpose

To protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the information we hold, and the systems we use.

Scope

All company information, devices, email, messaging (including WhatsApp) and online systems.

Our commitments

• Share crew, cargo and commercial information only with those who need it for the job.
• Use strong passwords and two-factor authentication on company email and key systems.
• Keep devices and software updated, and protect them against malware.
• Watch for phishing and verify any change to bank details by phone before paying.
• Back up important records and test that they can be restored.
• Report any suspected breach immediately so it can be contained.

Responsibilities

• Management makes sure systems are protected and staff are trained.
• Every user protects their own accounts and devices.

Review

This policy is reviewed at least once a year by management, and whenever operations, regulations or risks change.
