Purpose
To make sure no one works under the influence of drugs or alcohol, protecting safety and our clients' trust.
Scope
All employees and subcontractors while on duty, on board vessels, or in port and company premises.
Our commitments
- Prohibit the possession, use or sale of illegal drugs at any time while working.
- Prohibit alcohol consumption on duty, on board vessels and in port areas.
- Expect staff to report fit for work, and to declare prescribed medicines that may affect safety.
- Respect vessels' own drug and alcohol policies when on board.
- Act on any breach, up to and including dismissal or removal from site.
Responsibilities
- Supervisors remove anyone who appears unfit for work.
- Employees are responsible for reporting fit for duty.
Review
This policy is reviewed at least once a year by management, and whenever operations, regulations or risks change.
